We kindly ask you to use the form attached to this email to share your best practices and projects in your teaching strengthening recognition of the importance of human relationships. Your report will be included in the world-wide observatory publication.

OUR ROLE IN PROMOTING WELLBEING THROUGH SUSTAINABLE HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS
The United Nations and other international bodies
We commit to working with the UN and other international bodies to promote the importance of sustainable, interdependent communities to achieve social development and wellbeing. We will advocate for methodologies which support community empowerment.

Target Group: Communities
We will work in collaboration with others to promote strong inclusive communities that enable all members to participate and belong. We will promote policies aimed at social integration and cohesion as a means for achieving the economic and social wellbeing of all persons, including older people and persons with disabilities, mental health needs and/ or learning difficulties.

Our own organisations
We will promote within our own organisations the importance of reducing social isolation and building social interaction through social relationships, embedding the principles of social cohesion, development and inclusion in any published policies and standards relating to education and practice.

We kindly ask you as EASSW member schools and social work teachers to provide your good ideas about how this is promoted by social work education. Your report will be enclosed in the European contribution for the fourth phase of the Global Agenda Observatory, which was established by IASSW, ICSW and IFSW in 2010.

The scope of the report will cover professional relationships in which social workers engage, including relationships with clients/service users, communities and community groups, colleagues, managers and agencies, local and national politicians, etc.

In this data collection by EASSW good examples of social work education are searched, which focus on the RELATIONSHIP – how that is formed and sustained, skills and knowledge involved, objectives and outcomes, etc.

General criteria for submissions

  • Each organisation (School) may submit up to three good practices or projects (please fill in an individual submission form for each project)
  • Entrants agree that the details of their project will be used for analysis, reproduction and replication by EASSW, IASSW, ICSW and IFSW.
  • Submissions need to be sent at membership@eassw.org through clicking on the survey form bellow. The deadline for submission is the 31st of January 2020.
